If you are a Zap Cap Systems® customer and have sustained damage to the primary unit installed behind your meter or to your plug-in protectors, appliances or equipment, here's some helpful information about the manufacturers' warranties. Please review the warranty specific to your surge protection equipment and contact the manufacturer. Tampa Electric does not process claims, however our representatives can offer suggestions and tips for filing a claim. Contact us at 877-787-4322.
Your primary unit*
If any non-electronic appliances or equipment and/or the primary unit installed behind your electric meter has been damaged from a high-voltage surge, please contact the primary unit manufacturer, Meter Treater, Inc., to initiate a claim.

Your plug-in protectors**
If any electronic equipment, directly connected to a plug-in protector(s) purchased from Tampa Electric, has been damaged by a high-voltage surge, please locate the manufacturer name located on the plug-in protector and call the appropriate manufacturer to initiate a claim. Note: Do not throw away the damaged plug-in unit.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
The surge protection built into the UPS unit comes with a lifetime manufacturer's warranty for all devices properly plugged into the unit. Contact us for more details.
